There are some great changes happening in downtown Loveland and we are excited for the progress and the opportunity for a thriving business community. We are also looking forward to continuing to contribute to the healing and restoration of members of the community through the ministry of Christ's Church of the Rockies and the Front Porch Outreach.
With the rapid development of the Foundry project, we are increasingly aware of our need to acquire a permanent location from which we can serve our city. Reaching out to the homeless and hurting with the Gospel of Christ is the commission of our Lord. It is our mission, to "co-mission" with the body of Christ in Loveland.
Much of our success and support in caring for the homeless and addicted is the result of partnerships with Churches in Loveland and agencies that provide services that complement ours. We know our calling is to bring a spiritual component to the needy as well as practical things such as food, shelter, showers and laundry.
It is our joy to serve in this way, our congregations faithful support and volunteerism makes it possible for our homeless guests to be cared for during the week and on Sundays. We know our building will soon be part of the downtown renewal, which means it will no longer serve our ongoing mission.
I am asking for people with resources and vision to help us acquire permanent facilities for the ministry of Christ's Church of the Rockies. We are members of the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel, an organization committed to interdenominational world-wide missionary evangelism. We have been a part of the Loveland community for more than 50 years.
Our vision is to see people come to know and experience the hope that Jesus brings through the life changing power of God. We are not interested in building our "kingdom" but extending His. One of our directives and vision goals is found in the book of Isaiah chapter 61. Through the grace of God’s Holy Spirit we will declare the good news.
We believe God has sent us to heal those whose hearts have been broken, proclaim freedom to those who are addicted, and releasing those imprisoned by failures of the past. We want people to know that God's favor and love is available to them no matter what. He wants to restore dignity and destiny to everyone … to give beauty instead of the "ashes" of mourning and give peace instead of depression.
So many have the rubble of their past restricting their hope for the future. The scriptures say that through God's favor and blessing, we can rebuild the old waste places, and restore the destruction of previous generations. Many who are homeless and addicted are the product of broken homes, and though they may be 40 or 50 years of age, they are "orphans" without the love of a true father. Our Father in heaven wants to redeem and restore sons and daughters who have never known the true and lasting love of Father God.
As you can see as I write, the heartbeat of this ministry is not "buildings & budgets" it is about having a permanent hub of operations from which we can continue to serve until the coming of our Lord. If you would like to see what we do at the Front Porch or have a conversation please me know. I would love to talk with any interested in a Kingdom investment such as ours.
